Odoo implementation cost in 2026 is usually $15,000 to $40,000 for a small business with 10 to 25 users at US partner rates. A mid-size company with several teams often spends $50,000 to $150,000. An offshore Odoo partner can do the same work for a third to a half of that. On top of the project you pay a yearly licence. At Odoo's US list price, 25 users on the Standard plan pay about $9,330 a year.

The licence is easy to price. The bigger share of the bill is setup, data moves, custom modules and training. How big that share gets depends on how far your way of working is from Odoo's standard flows. This guide prices each line. It covers the price per user for each plan, hosting, partner rates, timelines and a 25-user budget for year one and year two.

Key takeaways

  • Odoo Enterprise costs $31.10 per user per month on the Standard plan and $61.00 on the Custom plan. These are US list prices with yearly billing, and the first 12 months cost less. Community is free to license, but it has no official support, no Studio and no mobile app.
  • The project itself usually costs two to five times the first year's licence. Watch custom work and data moves most closely.
  • Odoo's own consulting hours cost about $144 an hour in US pack pricing. The same pack sold in India works out to about $40 an hour. US federal contract data puts ERP consultants at a median top rate of $132 an hour.
  • Of the 9 partner companies on the UpBusiness Odoo ERP listing, 3 offer Odoo ERP on their profiles. Their average project sizes run from $5,000 to $25,000, with a median of $10,000.

How Much Does Odoo Implementation Cost in 2026?

The table below shows typical totals for the project itself, without the licence. The US figures come from partners that publish their 2026 ranges[1]. The offshore column is our own estimate. It is based on the lower hourly rates that Odoo partners charge outside North America and Western Europe. The section on partner fees shows those rates.

Company sizeTypical scopeUS partner ratesOffshore partner ratesTypical timeline
Small (10 to 25 users)3 to 5 standard apps, light customization, one data import$15,000 to $40,000$5,000 to $15,0006 to 12 weeks
Mid-size (25 to 100 users)6 to 10 apps, several integrations, some custom modules$50,000 to $150,000$15,000 to $50,0003 to 6 months
Large (100+ users or several companies)Multi-company, manufacturing or warehouse flows, heavy migration$200,000+$60,000+6 to 12 months

The gap inside each row comes down to scope. More apps mean more setup. Work that differs from Odoo's standard needs changes. Messy data in the old system takes longer to move. A 15-user services firm moving off spreadsheets can sit at the bottom of the small range. A 20-user distributor can cost more than a plain 60-user rollout if it has its own pricing rules, an outside warehouse and five years of history to bring across.

If you are still choosing between Odoo, Zoho and a custom ERP, read our ERP software development cost guide first. This guide assumes you have already picked Odoo.

Yearly Odoo Enterprise licence cost at the 2026 US list price with yearly billing: Standard $3,732 for 10 users, $9,330 for 25 users and $18,660 for 50 users; Custom $7,320, $18,300 and $36,600

Odoo Pricing Per User: Community, Standard and Custom

Odoo sells three ways to run its software. The plan you pick sets both the licence bill and what a partner has to build.

PlanUS list price (yearly billing)What you getHosting
Community$0Open-source core apps, no official support or upgradesYour own servers or a partner's
One App Free$0One Enterprise app for unlimited usersOdoo Online only
Standard$31.10 per user per month ($24.90 in the first 12 months)All Enterprise apps, support, upgradesOdoo Online only
Custom$61.00 per user per month (about $48.80 in the first 12 months)Standard plus Odoo Studio, multi-company and the external APIOdoo Online, Odoo.sh or on-premise

These are the US list prices for yearly billing as of mid-2026[2]. The first-year discount covers only the users on your first order[3]. Monthly billing costs about 25% to 30% more per user than yearly billing.

Odoo sets prices by country, so the same plan can cost very different amounts. For visitors in India, Odoo's pricing page lists Standard at about $7.60 and Custom at about $14.20 per user per month on yearly billing, in US dollars[3]. The price follows where the visitor is. So check the page from the country where your company will be billed.

Two plan details change many budgets. Light users cost far less than full users. These are staff who only fill in timesheets or expenses. And some needs force you onto Custom: Odoo Studio, more than one legal company, or a link to another system through the external API. That roughly doubles the licence line.

Odoo Enterprise vs Community: Which Costs Less?

Community is free to license. Over three years it often costs more. Enterprise comes with hosting on Odoo Online, unlimited help with how the apps work, free version upgrades, the mobile app, full accounting and Studio[3]. On Community, your partner or your own team has to cover each of those.

Cost lineCommunityEnterprise
Licence$0$31.10 or $61.00 per user per month (US list)

Version upgradesYour partner migrates the database and modulesUpgrade of standard apps included
Missing featuresBuilt or bought as third-party modulesStudio, mobile app, bank sync, full accounting included
SupportPartner support contract onlyOdoo support by email included

Odoo supports each major version for three years. After that, customers get two more years to finish an upgrade[4]. On Community, the upgrade is partner work. Moving a database with custom modules can cost $5,000 to $30,000 each time[5]. Community suits a small team with its own developers and simple accounting. If a partner does everything for you, Enterprise is usually cheaper once you count upgrades and missing features.

Odoo Online, Odoo.sh or On-Premise: What Does Hosting Cost?

Hosting on Odoo Online comes with the Standard and Custom plans, with storage up to 100 GB[3]. The catch: Odoo Online does not run custom code modules. So any company with custom work moves to Odoo.sh or its own servers. Both need the Custom plan.

Odoo.sh is Odoo's platform for custom databases. With yearly billing it costs $57.60 per worker per month and $0.20 per GB of storage per month. Each test copy of your system (a staging environment) costs $14.40 a month. Dedicated hosting costs $480 a month[6]. The hosting price does not include the Enterprise licence.

Hosting optionLicence neededTypical monthly hosting costBest for
Odoo OnlineStandard or CustomIncludedCompanies with no custom code modules
Odoo.sh, small setupCustomAbout $134 (2 workers, 20 GB, 1 staging)Custom modules, a partner deploying through GitHub
Odoo.sh, dedicatedCustom$480 and upHeavy traffic or large databases
On-premise or your cloudCustom (or Community)$50 to $500+ in servers, plus admin timeStrict data residency or existing infrastructure

Running your own servers looks cheap on the server bill. The hidden cost is the person who patches the system, checks backups and applies Odoo updates. If your partner offers that as a managed service, add it to the comparison.

What Do Odoo Implementation Partners Charge?

Partners charge in three ways: prepaid hour packs, fixed-price projects and hourly billing. Odoo itself sells setup hours as Success Packs. For visitors in India, the 25-hour pack costs about $1,006 and the 100-hour pack about $3,500, in US dollars. A new customer gets 15% off the first pack[7]. US pack prices for 2026 are about $3,600 for 25 hours and $12,500 for 100 hours. That is about $144 an hour in the US and about $40 an hour in India for the same Odoo service.

Odoo ranks its partners as Ready, Silver or Gold. In India alone, Odoo's partner list shows 10 Gold, 50 Silver and 112 Ready partners[8]. A higher rank tells you the partner sells a lot of Odoo and has certified experts. It does not tell you if they know your industry. Ask for references from companies like yours.

US hourly ceiling rates for Odoo implementation roles from GSA contract data in October 2026: ERP functional consultant median $154, ERP consultant $132, ERP developer $130 and trainer $103

For a neutral check on US rates, GSA contract data lists what consulting firms may charge US federal buyers[9]. These are top (ceiling) rates. Business quotes often come in lower.

RoleMedian US ceiling rateRates in sample
ERP functional consultant$154 an hour23 rates, 6 contractors
ERP consultant$132 an hour138 rates, 26 contractors
ERP developer$130 an hour27 rates, 13 contractors
Trainer$103 an hour1,500 rates, 425 contractors

How you pay matters as much as the rate. A fixed price protects your budget only if the scope document is detailed. Hour packs and hourly billing are flexible. But you need a weekly report of hours used against tasks, or the pack runs out before go-live.

How Much Does Odoo Customization Cost?

In published partner breakdowns, custom work moves budgets the most. Changes fall into two groups. Small changes are extra fields, form layouts, custom reports and simple automations. They are often done in Odoo Studio and usually cost $500 to $5,000 each at US partner rates[10]. Custom modules add new business logic, such as a pricing engine or an industry workflow. They usually cost $2,000 to $30,000 per module.

Every custom module also has a running cost. It has to be tested and fixed at each version upgrade. Partners often budget 10% to 20% of its build cost a year for that upkeep[5]. Before you approve a custom module, ask the partner if a standard setting or a module from the Odoo Apps store would do the job.

What Do Data Migration, Integrations and Training Cost?

Line itemTypical US partner costWhat drives it
Data migration$3,000 to $15,000Number of records, years of history, how clean the old data is
Integrations$2,000 to $30,000 eachPayment gateways, shipping carriers, EDI, a third-party warehouse, banks
Training$2,000 to $8,000Number of users, languages, shifts, train-the-trainer or full sessions
Project management and discovery$3,000 to $15,000Number of departments and decision makers

These ranges come from published 2026 partner breakdowns[5]. Give the data move extra care. Moving open invoices, stock levels and customer balances is routine. Moving five years of past sales so old reports still work is a separate project. Many companies keep the old system open, read-only, for a year instead.

Training is easy to cut and costly to skip. Staff who were never trained keep working in spreadsheets next to Odoo. The licence you pay for then goes unused.

How Long Does Odoo Implementation Take?

A small company with standard ways of working can go live in 6 to 12 weeks. Mid-size rollouts with manufacturing, several warehouses or several companies take 3 to 6 months. Large multi-company projects take 6 to 12 months. Published 2026 examples range from 9 weeks for a 12-user services firm to 26 weeks for a 150-user manufacturer[5].

PhaseSmall companyMid-size company
Discovery and process mapping1 to 2 weeks3 to 4 weeks
Configuration and custom work3 to 6 weeks8 to 14 weeks
Data migration and testing1 to 2 weeks4 to 6 weeks
Training and go-live1 to 2 weeks2 to 4 weeks

Timelines slip for the same reasons budgets do. Decisions come late, data needs cleaning, and key staff can't find time to test. Name one person on your side who can sign off decisions within a few days.

A Worked Example: 25 Users, Year One and Year Two

This example shows how the lines add up for a 25-user trading company. It turns on Accounting, Sales, CRM, Inventory and Purchase on Odoo Online with the Standard plan. The hours are only an example. The offshore rate of $40 an hour is a sample rate, not a quote.

Standard licence, year one (25 users at $24.90)$7,470$7,470
Year one total$24,030$65,430

In year two the licence moves to the list price of $31.10, or $9,330 for 25 users. Add a small support contract, say 5 hours a month. Year two then costs about $11,730 with the offshore partner or $17,730 with the US partner. If the company later needs Studio or a second legal company, moving to the Custom plan adds about $9,000 a year in licences for the same 25 users.

What Odoo Partner Companies on UpBusiness Charge

Our Odoo ERP listing shows 9 partner companies as of October 2026. Most of them are broader software companies. Only 3 list Odoo ERP as a service on their profiles. Their average project sizes run from $5,000 to $25,000, with a median of $10,000. Their TrustScores range from 71.67 to 75.33.

Partner companyTeam sizeCityAverage project sizeTrustScoreOdoo ERP share of services

HashStudioz Technologies201-500Noida$10,00072.315%
Buildleads Solutions1-10Pune$5,00075.3315%

Average project size is an average across all of a company's work, not only Odoo. It is not a minimum price.

How does that compare with the market? US partners publish small-business ranges of $15,000 to $40,000 and mid-size ranges of $50,000 to $150,000. The median average project of these 3 companies is $10,000. That is below the US small-business floor. It fits what offshore hourly rates would predict for a 3 to 5 app rollout. The $25,000 average at Techaroha Solutions fits a small rollout with custom modules or a larger team.

SourceSmall rolloutMid-size rollout

UpBusiness Odoo partners (average project size)$5,000 to $25,000, median $10,000Quoted per scope

A low average project size can mean a partner mostly does small add-on jobs. Ask each company for two projects close in size to yours. Then compare what they finally cost with what was first quoted.

What Does Odoo Cost After Go-Live?

The yearly bill after launch has four parts. There is the licence, and hosting if you use Odoo.sh or your own servers. Then there is partner support and upkeep of custom modules. Published 2026 breakdowns put support contracts at $500 to $5,000 a month for mid-size companies. They put module upkeep at 10% to 20% of what the modules cost to build[5].

Plan for a version upgrade every two to three years. On Enterprise, the standard apps are upgraded for you. Custom modules and third-party apps still need partner time. Ask for that cost in the first proposal so it doesn't come as a surprise.

How to Lower Odoo Implementation Cost

  • Use Odoo's standard process wherever the difference doesn't matter to customers. Every workflow you keep "the old way" is a custom module to build and maintain.
  • Start with the core apps and add the rest after go-live. A smaller first phase is cheaper to test and train.
  • Use Studio for fields and reports instead of code where you can, if you are on the Custom plan anyway.
  • Clean the data before the move. Removing duplicate customers and dead products in a spreadsheet costs far less than doing it during the project.
  • Buy full licences only for the users who really work in Odoo. Use light users for everyone else.
  • Think about an offshore partner for the build and a local partner for workshops and training, if your team needs face-to-face sessions.

How to Get an Accurate Odoo Implementation Quote

Partners can only quote fairly if they all get the same brief. List the apps you need and the number of full and light users. Add your companies and warehouses, the systems Odoo must connect to, and the data you want to bring across. Our software project brief template covers the structure. When proposals arrive, our guide to comparing software development proposals shows how to line them up. The software development contract checklist covers payment milestones and code ownership.

Ask every partner to price discovery, setup, each custom change, the data move and training as separate lines. Then ask what they expect the first upgrade to cost. If you are also moving other systems off old servers, see our guides to application modernization and cloud migration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Odoo implementation usually costs $15,000 to $40,000 for a small business with 10 to 25 users and $50,000 to $150,000 for a mid-size company at US partner rates. Offshore partners often deliver the same scope for a third to a half of that. The licence is extra, at $31.10 per user per month on the Standard plan at the US list price with yearly billing.
At the US list price with yearly billing, Odoo Standard costs $31.10 per user per month and Custom costs $61.00, with a discount on the first 12 months for users on the first order. Community is free to license. Odoo prices by country, so the same plans cost far less in markets such as India, and monthly billing costs roughly 25% to 30% more.
Odoo Community has no licence fee, while Enterprise costs $31.10 or $61.00 per user per month at the US list price. Community leaves you to pay for hosting, upgrades, support and missing features such as Studio, the mobile app and full accounting. Each Community upgrade with custom modules can cost $5,000 to $30,000. Over three years, Enterprise is often cheaper.
Odoo.sh costs $57.60 per worker per month, $0.20 per GB of storage per month and $14.40 per staging environment per month with yearly billing, and dedicated hosting costs $480 a month. A small setup with 2 workers, 20 GB and one staging environment comes to about $134 a month. The Enterprise licence on the Custom plan is billed separately.
Odoo partner rates vary widely by country. Odoo's own Success Packs work out to about $144 an hour in the US and roughly $40 an hour in India for the same service. US federal contract data puts ERP consultants at a median ceiling rate of $132 an hour and ERP functional consultants at $154. These are maximum rates, and commercial quotes often come in lower.
An Odoo Success Pack is a block of prepaid consulting hours sold by Odoo for implementation work, from a 4-hour Starter pack up to 200 hours. Published 2026 US prices run about $3,600 for 25 hours and $12,500 for 100 hours. New customers get 15% off their first pack, and travel time and expenses for on-site work are billed separately.
A small company with standard processes usually goes live in 6 to 12 weeks. Mid-size rollouts with manufacturing, several warehouses or several companies take 3 to 6 months, and large multi-company projects take 6 to 12 months. Published 2026 examples range from 9 weeks for a 12-user services firm to 26 weeks for a 150-user manufacturer.
Small Odoo customizations such as extra fields, layouts, reports and simple automations typically cost $500 to $5,000 each at US partner rates. Custom modules with new business logic typically cost $2,000 to $30,000 per module. Plan another 10% to 20% of the module's build cost each year for testing and fixes at version upgrades.
No. The implementation project is a one-time cost, but the licence, hosting on Odoo.sh or your own servers, partner support and upkeep of custom modules recur every year. Plan for a version upgrade every two to three years as well. For a 25-user company on Standard, year two typically costs about $11,700 with an offshore partner providing light support.
Choose an Odoo implementation partner that has finished projects in your industry at a similar size, and ask to speak to two of those clients. Check how many certified consultants will work on your project, beyond the partner's tier. Compare proposals that price discovery, configuration, each customization, migration and training separately, and ask for the cost of the first upgrade.
